Promise Kept to Shenfield Residents with 3rd Green Bench Upgrade

Local Conservative Campaigner Thomas Heard has welcomed the installation of the third "Green Bench" in Shenfield.  Following a request from Cllr Jan Pound and Thomas, the Council has just replaced all of the wood on the bench down by the stairs to the Hunter Avenue carpark with locally sourced timber.

The bench has the "I Grew Up in Brentwood" logo marked on the timber to show that it was ethically sourced to help our environment.

Conservative Campaigner for Shenfield Thomas Heard is a strong supporter of the Council's Green Initiatives.

The other two benches that were refurbished in this green way previously are located outside of Costa Coffee and opposite Shenfield Railway Station (see images all three of the green benches by clicking on the photo carousel).

"Everything that we can do to reduce the impact of CO2 on our environment is to be strongly welcomed.  Brentwood Borough Council under the Conservatives is leading the way with delivering an ambitious Green agenda locally.  I would like to thank Council Leader Chris Hossack and his team for driving this initiative forward for the benefit of our town."
