Brentwood and Ongar Conservatives readopt Alex Burghart MP as their candidate for the next General Election
Alex Burghart MP has been formally readopted as the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for the Brentwood and Ongar constituency at the next General Election.
Following the readoption meeting, Dr Burghart thanked Brentwood and Ongar Conservatives for their support and said he was looking forward to continuing to represent local residents.
Alex Burghart MP said:
“I am enormously grateful to Brentwood and Ongar Conservatives for readopting me as their candidate for the next election. Having served local people in our constituency for more than 9 years now, I want to continue to support local families, businesses, farmers and public services. I greatly appreciate receiving this vote of confidence in readopting me and being given the opportunity to contest the next general election in order to continue Standing Up for Brentwood and Ongar residents.
As one of Kemi Badenoch’s closest allies, I will be fighting to cut local people’s taxes, get more people into work, reduce immigration, and get Britain back on the right track.
Representing our wonderful area in Parliament since 2017 has been one of the great honours of my life. There is however, a lot more still to do and with the support of the local people of Brentwood and Ongar, I will carry on working with the community to do just that! Thank you.”
Alex Burghart has represented the residents of the Brentwood and Ongar constituency in Parliament since 2017, having secured election victories at the 2017, 2019 and 2024 General Elections.
