The annual dinner of Brentwood and Ongar Conservatives took place last night (Thursday 2nd October 2014) at Mount Avenue Banqueting Suite in Hutton, where over two hundred party supporters welcomed Boris Johnson as the after dinner guest speaker.
Chairman of the Association, John Kerslake said, “We were delighted to have Boris agree to join us for the evening. As always, he was excellent and provided us with a speech that was both witty and informative. It was a fantastic evening and everyone had a great time.”
The venue was full and tickets for the event sold out fast. This is the second high profile guest this year to have visited the Association, with former Secretary of State for Education and now Chief Whip, Michael Gove, joining party supporters back in March.
John added, “We hold a series of social fundraising events throughout the year. If you would like to find out more about plans for the coming months, please drop the office a line. Our social calendar is always full and there is something for everyone!”
