Brentwood Council's Leader, Louise McKinlay has been shortlisted for the prestigious Leader of the Year Award, as part of the LGiU & CCLA Councillor Achievement Awards 2017.
Over 200 nominations were received and Louise made it on to the list of just ten Leaders, who will go forward on November 7th when the winners will be announced.
Louise said, "I am delighted and feel very honoured to have been put forward for this award. I consider myself very lucky to be in a role that I enjoy as much as I do. These are challenging times for local government but here in Brentwood, we are moving ahead with plans that will deliver for the next generation. From revamping the Town Centre to upgrading the leisure offer and supporting businesses across the borough, there is much that is happening on and I am proud of what we are achieving. Brentwood is a great place to represent."
Brentwood and Ongar Conservatives wish Louise the very best of luck for the 7th November!
