DUAL PURPOSE BINS INSTALLED ACROSS BOROUGH

Wednesday, 16 January, 2013

Councillor Will Russell is delighted to see that dual purpose litter bins have been installed across the borough.

“As well as your usual litter such as crisp packets and empty drink bottles, you will also be able to deposit dog waste in these new bins.” said Will.

In addition to replacing some of the old bins, two new locations for the bins have been found; at the top of Wharf Rd and Rollason Way by the new community herb garden in Crescent Road.

Will said, “These two areas were particularly in need of litter bins, and are already well used.”

A keen dog walker from Rollason Way, sent an email thanking Will for his efforts and added, “Its great to see that the new bin has been installed. Quite often you see litter being blown by the wind down to the green. This bin will go a long way to keeping the green tidy. Being able to use it for dog waste is an extra bonus”.
