Help for our Families in Essex
Using part of the £6m of Government COVID Funding, Essex Conservatives are providing food vouchers during this Christmas, half-term and Easter holidays to children eligible for income-related free school meals. This £2.175m investment will back up County Council resources, focused on helping vulnerable families and those from more deprived areas, plus additional support for those fleeing domestic abuse, people with disabilities or caring duties.
Next year, we will extend the successful free holiday Camp programme to include the Easter holidays, with extra sites across Essex, so even more children can join in.
