Hutton North Community Action Day

Monday, 11 January, 2016

On Saturday morning, volunteers joined Hutton North councillors, Louise McKinlay and Will Trump in their latest action day.

The group cleared rubbish and flytipping from around the shops in Woodland Avenue and also picked litter in the alleyways and wooded area near Hawksmoor Green.

Others helped to clear the leaves and mulch from outside Long Ridings Primary School, making it both safer and easier to walk by on the pavement. Recycling and rubbish bags of discarded waste were also filled.

Louise McKinlay said, "I would like to thank everyone who joined us on Saturday morning and helped to tidy up around the estate. The efforts have made a real difference to the local area and to the primary school. We will shortly be arranging the next date and would welcome anyone new who would like to join us."

Louise and Will hold regular sessions around the ward and if you would like to be involved in the next community day, please do get in touch!
