Tuesday, 14 May, 2013

Essential improvement works are to be carried out at Brentwood Station. The works will see the installation of three new lifts to allow step free access to all platforms. The funding for the work has come from the Government’s Access for All programme and is due to start mid-May.

Cllr Will Russell said “As a member of Brentwood Council and chair of the Kings Road/Warley Hill traders group, I am overjoyed that works to further improve the facilities at this wonderful station are now due to go ahead with the installation of the new lifts.  I know many local residents and those that commute to and from Brentwood Station will be equally impressed”

Most of the work will be completed during the daytime (8am to 6pm), however there may be a requirement for some overnight work. Residents will be notified if this is the case. The station will remain operational throughout the works.
