Protect our environment
Protecting the environment in Essex is a crucial part of the work undertaken by Essex County Council.
The Conservatives set up the Essex Climate Change commission involving young and older people to look at how we continue to improve our air quality leading to longer and healthier lives. We are encouraging more people to walk and cycle by investing in better paths and cycleways across the County.
Improving our environment is one of the most important things we can all achieve: handing on to the next generation a County with cleaner air, improved health and general wellbeing.
