Brentwood and Ongar Conservative Association has readopted the Rt Hon Eric Pickles MP to stand as the constituency’s Conservative Party candidate in the 2015 General Election.
Mr. Pickles' candidacy was unanimously approved at a meeting of the Association’s Executive Committee on Thursday.
Brentwood and Ongar Conservative Association Chairman, John Kerslake, said: "Eric has proven himself to be an excellent MP, who works tirelessly for the residents of Brentwood and Ongar. I look forward to this hard work continuing and we'll be giving him all the support we can as we work towards his re-election in 2015.
Speaking after the meeting, Eric said, “I have been here for almost twenty five years representing this community and I am really pleased to have been readopted to stand again as the Conservative candidate for Brentwood and Ongar in 2015.”
