Woodland Avenue Post Office to Remain

Monday, 29 June, 2015

Following local consultation and public representation, it has been decided not to proceed with the proposed relocation of the Post Office from Woodland Avenue to Rayleigh Road.

Hutton North councillor, Louise McKinlay said "I am delighted with the result and would like to thank everyone who joined the effort to keep the Post Office where it is. The service is well used by local residents and there were concerns that moving location would have made it difficult for many to get to it."

A letter was received last week confirming the decision, following representation from 60 people.

Conservative colleage for Hutton North, Cllr Will Trump added, "This is good news and I would like to thank the Post Office for listening to local views. The service means a lot to a number of people."
