Brentwood & Ongar launches new website

Thank you for your support at the last election. Because of you, David Cameron is the first Conservative Prime Minister in 13 years and the Government’s plans to build a strong economy and a big society are in full swing. Now, to help us communicate with you, we've launched this new local website.

2011 Local Election Candidates

Brentwood and Ongar Conservative Association is proud to announce a strong team of candidates to fight the upcoming local election on Thursday 5th May 2011 for Brentwood Borough Council. With 12 local Borough Council wards up for election this year we have selected a wide range of candidates from across our community to represent the people of Brentwood. We are delighted to yet again be fielding a candidate in every ward as we work to continue our efforts campaigning on behalf of Brentwood residents.

‘Lib Glums’ talk down hard-working traders

Conservative Councillors were shocked to see that once more the Leader of the Opposition has been talking down the hard working Brentwood traders and putting off new trade.In an article headed ‘High Street retailers facing meltdown’, Cllr Kendall suggests that the Conservatives are ‘out of touch’ yet claims that Belgique is one of the shops closing.  This is simply not true.‘We are getting fed up with the constant lack of support of the Lib Glums for our hard-working traders,’ said Cllr Phil Baker, Chairman of the Business and Economic Development Panel.
