In the 12 local elections to be held on 5th May 2011 Brentwood residents will have an opportunity to decide the future of Brentwood. Across seven key policy areas we detail forty-two pledges to the residents of Brentwood.
We understand the challenges that Brentwood faces over the coming years, our recent budget showed a clear direction, that whilst our country tackles Labour’s Debt Crisis we will maintain and protect frontline services in Brentwood whilst continuing to invest in our Borough and deliver value for money to residents with a Council Tax freeze.
‘Brentwood Conservatives have been running Brentwood Borough Council since 2004, in which time we have seen many changes,’ said The Leader of the Council, Cllr Mrs Louise McKinlay. ‘Despite having to make cuts – due to the Labour government’s legacy of waste and overspend – this year we have delivered a zero rise in the Council Tax.
‘This manifesto demonstrates that, despite all these changes, we are continuing to invest in the future of our Borough and in protecting frontline services. We have already delivered with improvements to our housing stock, street cleaning and two million pounds has been spent on recycling schemes.
